5th Grade goes A'Wassailing around JHCA

The 5th grade British History class went Wassailing again in anticipation of the upcoming holidays, singing old carols and sharing their joy and treats around the school. The class visited much of the school, serenading their fellows and spreading the joy and goodwill.
Mr. Sawyer, Miss Porter, and Mrs. Carson led the carols along with the teachers and students from around the school who joined in the festivities. The students sang carols such as “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen,” “The Boar’s Head,” and “Wassail, Wassail.” They were able to visit the majority of the classes in the school, singing the classic carols they learned and bringing them wassail and sweets.
Wassailing is a tradition of caroling after the new year for Epiphany, visiting neighbors and friends and demanding refreshment for their songs. The 5th grade reversed it by bringing the wassail and treats themselves and spreading the joy of the holidays.
