Working at JH Classical Academy
In anticipation of future growth, we encourage excellent teachers seeking positions other than those currently open to begin a dialogue with us now.

At Jackson Hole Classical Academy high expectations are set for students, and teachers provide a high level of support. Similarly, we expect our teachers to embrace an ethic of personal and professional growth, and leadership equips them with nationally recognized mentors and classical training. Teachers serve as models, guides, and mentors to help students reach their potential.

The curriculum of JH Classical Academy focuses upon Western Civilization and embraces the Christian heritage that is foundational to American democracy. The Academy seeks teachers who long to participate in the renewal of education and, through it, the renewing of American culture. Our teachers challenge the mind and the heart of students, instilling within them a love for what is true and beautiful and a desire to pursue lives of virtue.

Jackson Hole, gateway to both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park, is visually stunning and offers an unsurpassed quality of life. Weekend and summer recreation opportunities abound. The attractiveness of Jackson makes housing difficult to find, therefore we do provide affordable housing for incoming teachers.

Teaching positions include full medical, vision and dental insurance. Housing stipend. Nine weeks vacation per year. IRA matching after one year.

If you would like to be considered for a teaching position, please submit a cover letter and resume, and respective Inquiry Form to careers@jhclassical.org.

Our Culture

The Jackson Hole Classical Academy school model features a core liberal arts curriculum with a common and rigorous sequence of courses for all students; an academy ethos that strives to foster friendship marked by a common love of the true, the good, and the beautiful; small class sizes that guarantee the availability for individual attention, both academic and personal; a professionally diverse and uniquely qualified faculty; visible leadership who mentor and collaborate with teachers; and an involved parent community who are invited to embrace and participate in the school’s academic and ethical vision.

Being a Christian school, our faculty comes to us from both Catholic and Protestant backgrounds. The unifying doctrinal statement for our faculty is the Nicene Creed.  We are not affiliated with any specific church or denomination.

All of this cannot happen without first filling our schools with teachers who are themselves intellectually, aesthetically, and morally alive. A school is its faculty. The faculty at Jackson Hole Classical Academy builds a culture where young hearts and minds can flourish; where students are protected from the noise of popular culture and freed to pursue the highest and most enduring things.

We need men and women who long to participate in the renewal of education and, through it, the renewal of American culture. We hope you will consider gifting your time and your talent to this exciting and worthy cause.
The Jackson Hole Classical Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies,
admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
