Head of School Update: Friday October 13, 2017

Dear JH Classical Academy Parents,
 
There is much information below, and many reminders, so I will keep my letter short today.
  • The 5th & 6th Graders recited poems captured on video and we are sharing them today via Vimeo for the first time.  I hope the links work!
  • Classroom History and Science projects launched last week with the 5th Grade cell project. See photos and read details about the project below. 
  • A heartfelt thanks to the parents who helped raise $76,000 at Old Bill’s Fun Run this year! We will receive the match at the annual awards ceremony on Monday, October 23rd at the NMWA. 
  • Enjoy learning about our new Registrar and Information Manager, Betsy Davis, who moved from New Jersey to Jackson Hole two weeks ago.  She has accomplished an astonishing amount in 2 weeks!
  • Please invite new families to our most important admissions event: Discover Classical Learning on Thursday, November 2.  Faculty are ready for more students, and students are ready for more peers. 
  • Our parent training series will continue with Mrs. Molder's Spalding Training on Tuesday, October 24th from 2:40-3:20 PM. Soon, I will announce Singapore, Latin and Poetry parent training classes.
  • If you are interested in an upate on the entitlement process for our hopeful future campus, please come to Coffee & Conversations in the Art Room next Tuesday, October 17th after drop-off at 8:15 AM. 
 
Life is full and good at JH Classical Academy.  I am seeing wonder and joy in the classrooms, and having fun conversations over lunch.  It is a privilege to be with your children every day!  Just a reminder that parents are welcome to join our opening ceremonies and lunch any day of the week, and we encourage you to mark your calendars for our JHCA events.
