JHCA senior granted $80,000 scholarship, four-year finance internship

Jacqueline Neishabouri, a JH Classical Academy senior, has been granted the esteemed Atlas Scholars Scholarship through Chicago Scholars. This $80,000 scholarship, awarded over four years, also includes four years of highly paid, full-time finance internships through world-renowned investment firm, Balyasny Asset Management.
According to the scholarship website, “An Atlas Scholar demonstrates exceptional merit and an interest in a career in finance.”

Jacqueline says that her classical education has prepared her in meeting the requirements for this scholarship, one of which was holding a current GPA of 3.5 and above. “My JHCA education has taught me strong habits such as responsibility, time management, and being diligent,” she said.

In her 500-word essay, Jacqueline wrote about her personal accomplishments and Persian background. “[In my essay], I shared my ski tuning and waxing business and my stock market investments."

Jacqueline said she's excited for this opportunity and to pursue an education and career in business post graduation. "This scholarship changed my life … Not only did it provide me with a job for four years within the finance and business world, but it provided me with $20,000 per year, which takes a heavy load off of college tuition,” she said.

Congratulations, Jacqueline!
