We have a number of Advancement initiatives this spring that I would like to share with you.
Moms Morning Meetings Mrs. Friess and I have had a number of small group meetings with moms on Friday mornings. In these meetings, we’ve explored new ways to cultivate community at JH Classical Academy, and together, we’ve discussed how we might attract new families through our admissions events. These conversations have proven invaluable for us. If we have not met with you yet and you would like to meet, please reach out!
Advancing The Academy Thank you to those who have participated in past “Advancing Our Academy” events with Mrs. Friess and Academy Board Members. Our event last Thursday night at Teton Pines was a special time for parents and Board Members. I know our Board enjoys meeting and speaking with you. Please do join us next time!
Academic Exhibition We are thrilled that our new field house will be ready March 18! Our first event in the field house will be the student term presentation, now called “Academic Exhibition.”
A little bit of history for you: the name “term presentation” is actually from our earlier years as Pioneer Classical School. Although the name has changed, the special vision of showing parents and friends all of the wonderful classroom learning that takes place at JH Classical Academy remains the same. At the Academic Exhibition, students will showcase what they’ve learned through short 3-5 minute presentations. This time together is always memorable. We look forward to seeing you there!
Upcoming Community Events Save the date: Friday, April 17 there will be an Academy Dodge Ball Tournament in the field house!
Our annual Evening of the Arts will be Thursday, May 28. Please be encouraged to invite friends and others in our Jackson Hole community.
Finally, we would love parents to volunteer and participate in the Field Day festivities on Friday, June 12. Please let us know if you are willing to lend a hand!
For all of these events and more, please feel free to email me or stop by my office located in the Upper School. I look forward to hearing from you.
