A Thanksgiving Feast

On Wednesday, November 20, the Kindergarten students hosted family, faculty and friends in the Kindergarten room. The occasion: A Thanksgiving Feast.

Kindergarten students, dressed as Pilgrims, read “The First Thanksgiving” by Jack Prelutsky, and each student shared one thing they had learned about the Pilgrims. The main course was a vegetable soup, which the Kindergarteners had carefully prepared for the occasion.

The first graders joined the Feast as well – they came as Indians. And yes, the Pilgrims and Indians ate peaceably together. As Mrs. Patrick recalled: “It was a sweet time, everyone being together.”
Indeed, Kindergartner Logan Pino had this to say: “I’m thankful for my classmates and for my teacher, Mrs. Patrick.”
