Spirit Days to promote unity and teamwork

Coach Lunz says “it’s all about camaraderie.” Students will have the opportunity to build friendships with students in other grades, promoting unity in our school. Spirit Days also provide a fun way for students to practice important virtues and habits in another way. They can learn the importance of working together, how to succeed with grace or try again with dignity, and how to strive for excellence in the classroom as well as on the kickball field. Students will also have the opportunity to learn from each other, not only about the sports and activities themselves, but also about what good sportsmanship and healthy competition look like.

We are much more successful when we work in communion with one another. Students feel happy at school and feel like they belong, we have shared experiences that bind us together, and we all feel more united in our goal to strive for excellence at JHCA. Plus, who doesn’t love playing kickball?

Spirit Days will take place one Friday each month, with a different sport or activity each time. Please join us for our first Spirit Day next Friday, September 24 after school on the field. Come ready to play kickball!
